Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best recognized for her role as House in Fox's Medical drama House. Growing up with Jewish conservatives in Wayne, New York City was the place she went to pursue her studies in theater at Tisch. She became very involved with the club scene in New York City and was able that she was noticed in the press. While doing so, she was becoming more conscious of AIDS' devastating effects. Eventually she used her training along with her fame and training to compose and write an original musical entitled Positive Me as well as to appear in the film. Soon after, she was offered an interview with MTV, hosting Awake to the Wild Side. When it ended up going off the air, she was able to appear in TV and films, initially in short roles but then gradually becoming an actress.
