Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, as is her mom who's English. Her family was raised on the South London council estate and when she was 14, attended The Brit School. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an BA in acting. At school, she was a part-time actor in numerous stage plays, such as King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. In the years since she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. Then, she appeared in Elisha in the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie in six episodes each of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she had the opportunity to play the part of Bambi on The ITV2 show drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in series two and three. Madekwe also played the title character in How to lose friends & make people feel alienated and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment 2008. She was also in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, composed by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with The drama The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes before it was removed from The CW. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama series was cast for her as Ashley Davenport. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons, the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to depart the series following an appearance as a guest in the premiere episode in the season's third. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred in the role of Tituba the television series Salem. Madekwe was married to her long-time lover, Iddo. The two have collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg was also on the show with Madekwe in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings - Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all sportsmen, played baseball in summers and played hockey in the winter months. Ashley could never walk but she was able to dance. When she turned two-and-a-half she started Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley developed a passion for dancing when she began Baby Ballet. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, jazz and tap at the top divisions. The big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the honor of "top Soloist".
